Who We Are

SCOUT is a product of Your First Scholarship (YFS), operated by Trenton Luera in Boise, Idaho. SCOUT is a college football recruiting tool available at app.yourfirstscholarship.com. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use SCOUT.

What We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your name and email address. This is used to create and manage your account.

Usage Data

We track how you use SCOUT, including page views, searches, coach reveals, and feature usage. This helps us improve the product and understand what features matter most.

User-Created Content

Any lists of schools you create within SCOUT are stored in your account.

Bug Reports and Feedback

If you submit a bug report or feedback, we collect the information you provide along with basic context about the page you were on.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not store your payment information. All payments are processed through Whop, a third-party payment platform. Your credit card and billing details never touch our servers.

Cookies

SCOUT uses cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. Our analytics tools may also set cookies to help us understand usage patterns. We do not use cookies for advertising or sell cookie data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted services to run SCOUT:

  • Supabase - Hosts our database and handles authentication. Your account data and app data are stored here.
  • Vercel - Hosts the SCOUT web application and provides basic analytics (page views, performance).
  • Whop - Processes payments and manages subscriptions. Whop handles all billing data directly.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you have questions about how they handle data.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain your SCOUT account
  • To improve SCOUT based on how people use it
  • To respond to bug reports and support requests
  • To send important account-related communications

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time. To make a request, email us at trenton@yourfirstscholarship.com. We will respond to deletion requests within 30 days.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through SCOUT. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
